What is "the art of cropping"?
A photography trend where one photo, or a few from the same moment, is cut into very wide, film-like strips that each show a different detail, then stacked into one post. The crops tell a small story: a detail, a face, the action, the scene.
How does it pick the scenes?
It looks for what stands out: areas in sharp focus whose colours differ from the edges of the photo, where backgrounds usually are. It then tries wide windows of several sizes, prefers ones that put the subject on a third and avoids cutting through it, and keeps scenes that do not repeat each other.
Can I change a scene?
Yes. Pick the scene by its number or by tapping it, then move its frame anywhere on the photo in Edit scene and drag a corner or scroll to resize it. You can also drag or pinch the scene in the collage, or press "Auto again" to go back to the automatic picks.
Why does a scene look soft?
A scene is never enlarged more than 2.5×, but a small photo or a tight crop can still look soft. Use the original file from your camera or phone rather than a screenshot.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser, and the photos never leave your device.
